Shouldn't the answer to this question be "Uncertain"? What if someone was on the brink of starvation and had an infinitely inelastic demand for food, while all other goods were in an elastic range? Am I thinking correctly about this? <--Brian

The question says "always", so I think it's safe to say that's false.

In light of the graphs I added I think it is safe to say that the result is strictly less than $100 additional consumption, unless "all other goods" is a neuter good.--Mthomas1776 02:47, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
